Before bringing GASLIGHT to life on our stage, director Jessica Thebus helmed nine other productions here at Northlight! Today, we’re diving into the archives to celebrate one of the many intensely entertaining stories she brought to life. SHINING LIVES was part of our 2014-15 season and shared the story of four courageous women who were determined to change the future of radium girls who were poisoned by years of toxic factory work.

Steel, foundation, and wiring, oh my! Construction on our new theatre in Evanston continues as the team begins work on the stage and house. This time lapse covers three weeks of work as the team puts our catwalk and structural steel in the air and starts work on the stage that will soon be home to some intensely entertaining theatre. We kicked off rehearsals with some wonderful words from Director Jessica Thebus, and dove into our first read-through of the script. Before our actors even got on their feet, this story got the room shivering. You won’t want to miss this one!
This holiday season, Northlight Theatre wants to put a spotlight on opportunities to help your neighbors and give back to the community we call home. The first cause we’re celebrating with our season of giving is the YWCA of Evanston/North Shore. They’re currently collecting items for welcome kits to give to families staying in their shelter.
